You might be puzzled, how did PG&E get involved into my new listing in 1207 Tea Rose Cir in San Jose. It’s not that PG&E suddenly extends their business into residential real estate. However, owing to PG&E, I realized one very important feature of my new listing at 1207 Tea Rose Cir in San Jose – It has one attached car garage PLUS an outside reserved parking lot just a few steps from the house.
Now you are getting more puzzled, why this is an important feature? Isn’t it better to have two car garage? I thought so too until I had several hours long power outage at my home recently.
I was working from home one day why suddenly there was no electricity. PG&E said it would take a few hours to have the power back. So I decided to drive to my office so that I could continue working. Then I realized I could not open the garage door without electricity. I did not know how to manually open it and even I knew it, I did not think I have the muscle to open it manually. Oops. I cannot go anywhere!!
Wait a minute, aha, I have another car parked outside. Problem solved. My home has two car garage attached but my poor parking skills demand me to park only one car inside. (Now I even feel good about my bad parking skill:)). However, now even I can park two car inside, I would still leave one outside just in case.
My new listing 1207 Tea Rose Cir’s one car garage plus one outside reserved parking lot feature is perfectly designed for situation like this. Or image if another earthquake comes and your cars are all stuck in your garage. This could be indeed a life-saving safety feature. (maybe I should propose California building department to adopt this into their new building codes).
This house has many many nice features such as skylight window, open layout, high ceiling in the master bedroom, etc (read here for more details) which we can easily appreciate and enjoy. So I leave you to check them out yourself.
