Just a few days ago, national media reported a over 10% increase on the housing price nationwide year-over-year. In Santa Clara county, the center of the Silicon Valley, the increase is way higher than that.

PG&E Helps me to Realize One Key Nice Feature of my New Listing 1207 Tea Rose Cir in San Jose

You might be puzzled, how did PG&E get involved into my new listing in 1207 Tea Rose Cir in San Jose. It’s not that PG&E suddenly extends their business into residential real estate. However, owing to PG&E, I realized one very important feature of my new listing at 1207 Tea Rose Cir in San Jose – It has one attached car garage PLUS an outside reserved parking lot just a few steps from the house.

Now you are getting more puzzled, why this is an important feature? Isn’t it better to have two car garage? I thought so too until I had several hours long power outage at my home recently.

I was working from home one day why suddenly there was no electricity. PG&E said it would take a few hours to have the power back. So I decided to drive to my office so that I could continue working. Then I realized I could not open the garage door without electricity. I did not know how to manually open it and even I knew it,  I did not think I have the muscle to open it manually. Oops. I cannot go anywhere!!

Wait a minute, aha, I have another car parked outside. Problem solved. My home has two car garage attached but my poor parking skills demand me to park only one car inside. (Now I even feel good about my bad parking skill:)).  However, now even I can park two car inside, I would still leave one outside just in case.
